This is directly inspired by Stefan Sagmeister’s book: Things I Have Learned in My Life So Far. I’m stealing the following ones from him:
- Trusting my guts always worked out
- Worrying solves nothing
And adding my personal ones bellow:
Perfection is boring
Being a perfectionist isn’t easy, I can talk for hours about my struggles chasing perfection in life. As much as I believe that chasing perfection is key to distinguish yourself, there is a point where perfection is just useless and will make everything blended and boring. The awesomeness is usually found by breaking rules and patterns, doing the unexpectable.
Perfectionism is just insecurity, a shield for not accepting imperfections and what make us different.
